Hexplode

!! Early PoC !!

Hexplode is a game inspired by minesweeper. You can play Classic mode in which you have the: Beginner, Intermediate and Expert levels.

You can also play Eternal that is the new endless mode in which the objective is to progress as much as possible (right now it's just 1 Region) by completing Chunks (19) in a Region to get gold and buy Items to help you with the challenge, each Chunk can also have Affixes which will make it harder to do.

Once the all the Chunks of a Region are completed you'll (future) be able to pick another Region from a Region map. For each Reagion completed the challenge will be harder by having more mine density and possibly of stacking Affixes into one Chunk

How to Play?

  • Left Click: Uncover a Tile
  • Right Click: Flags the Tile or question-marks(?) it
  • Middle mouse button: For moving the map if it does not fit the screen
  • F1: To center the map again

Road Map

For the first release it's a PoC to see if people likes the idea and the on the future the idea is the following:

  • Add more Items and Affixes
  • Add Music
  • Improve the UX/UI which is not the best RN
  • Add the PvP mode: Yes I want to add a PvP mode hehe
  • Add the Leaderboard
  • More? Ideas?

I think the one thing that would be kind of nice, especially with Eternal mode, would be to have a way to get back to the map/menu without finishing the level. Might have to forfeit progress, but I could see someone feeling a larger map might be too much of a time commitment at the end of a game session.

Mmmm I see the idea and I'll think about it, but most likely it may be an item you can but to `Skip` (not complete) a Chunk or an option that will need to carry some kind of penalty if used.

If the only issue is the big ones I can also make them "less" big. On the future the idea is that on eternal (when it's extended now is 1 Region) when you move forward with more Regions, Affixes would be able to stack so you may have an XXL+TicTac(limited time) or things like that, in which then the items would be of use to help clear.

But I'll take not to see if I see repetition of this issue and then take action.

Make it so if you click on an uncovered tile where all the adjacent mines are marked, it clicks on the adjacent tile.

I plan to have `Chording` but it'll be an purchase on Eternal mode. Though I may add it by default on Classic mode as it's part of the OG game :)
